I changed this a little so that you have to hit play before the movie starts. Otherwise, every time you hit this page, the shower theme screams over your speakers. I’ll have to figure out how to speed up the archiving process.

Baby happenings
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007I have been back to work for 3 weeks now and am getting used to the whole schedule again. We have started getting the babies up at 11pm for a feeding. Or I should say Greyson feeds them what I pump at 9pm and I sleep while he feeds. And then I get up when they wake up around 5am for a feeding and Greyson sleeps in. I have started just going strait to work after I get them back down for a nap. So sometimes I can get to work at 6:30am and back home by 3pm and have the afternoon at home. I am not normally an early riser so it is tough for me.
We have been giving the babies a bath in these plastic baby baths on the counter, but because they are getting bigger and splashier they are starting to make quite a mess. So to try something new we decided to bathe them both in there baby baths but put them in the clawfoot tub so they can splash all they want. Of course as soon as we got them both in Samia started crying a bit and her voice reverberated inside the cast iron clawfoot tub and scared Piper who screamed and that scared Samia who then joined the screaming and the noise bouncing off the tub walls was deafening. So until they start liking bath time a bit more we won’t try them at the same time in the echo chamber again.
Samia’s belly button looks almost normal. The hernia is gone but now she has some extra wrinkly skin left over. But that should go away as she grows. Piper’s hernia is less but still there. I think it too will be gone in another month or two.
I have been doing a lot of breastfeeding this last month and apparently Piper has taken a liking to it. She now is turned off by the bottle and will often just roll the bottle nipple around on her tongue and makes this disgusted face and refuses to drink for a few minutes. She does that even if there is breastmilk in the bottle. She is quite the turkey. Greyson finds it quite frustrating but I think she will get over it once she realizes she doesn’t have an option while I am gone.
Piper is still our active little baby. She likes to kick and stand up and can roll over from her front to her back. Samia is our social girl who likes to cuddle and coo and laugh. She loves to sit and study things and finds her own hands just facinating. They have really different personalities which is a lot of fun.
I will try to get some more baby pictures and videos up soon.

Another good night
Thursday, October 18th, 2007After going to bed around 7:15 last night, we had to get up around 11:30 to feed the girls, after which they slept through 7:30 or so. I’m perfectly happy with that in spite of my current headache. It has always been easier to put these ladies to bed when it’s dark, so the perpetual darkness seems to help.
feet
Thursday, October 18th, 2007Not a ton of natural light to be sure these days, but today we noticed they are especially footie. Seeing a lot more of it too when we pay attention and talk to them.

hands
Thursday, October 18th, 2007I forgot to mention that this was really the most I’ve seen Samia pick up an object like this and examine it as she did for the camera, and I really haven’t seen her do it to that degree since.
